The Queen Forgives

Beyonce just performed on the Grammy Awards. My friend, Devon, just texted me and asked me, "Is Beyonce supposed to be Jesus @ the last supper??" Yes, of course she is.

Beyonce distracted us from the shit show in Washington DC for a solid 24 hours.

As a lover and scholar of Beyonce's Lemonade, her song choices tonight were no mistake. She chose 2 slow songs most likely to avoid high impact dancing. Her boobs likely petitioned for the slow songs as they were not interested in being harnessed by 2 sports bras! Lemonade focuses on Beyonce being wronged (ie- Jay Z cheating on her with Becky with the Good Hair). It has several chapters of her healing- denial, anger, sadness, freedom, forgiveness, hope, rebirth. Beyonce has clearly forgiven her philandering husband. She pregnant with his babies. She chose those songs to let the world know that they are all right. We can all move on now, because Beyonce has.
